hey! if you are going to the dallas or woodlands, tx show - listen up!

I don’t fault fall out boy (or their managers) for this but I can’t help but emphasize how stupid it is to book an outdoor show in texas for the end of june!! people outside of texas truly don’t understand how fucking hot it gets this time of year — and unless you experience it for yourself, you won’t get it.

temperatures right now are above 100 degrees Fahrenheit and “feel” much hotter than that due to humidity and UV index.

if you are going to the woodland or dallas show this week, please, please be careful!!!

as a lifelong texan who has endured this hellish heat for my whole life, here are some very important tips for surviving the summer weather (& not passing out):

  • be sure to hydrate days before the event (starting tonight!) drink mostly water, & if you have them, add those little hydration iv packets as well!
  • I would highly, highly recommend that you don’t drink alcohol at the event. alcohol is a diuretic and will dehydrate you!!! I would really recommend only drinking water (no diet coke, soda, or other beverages with caffeine, this is a diuretic too!)

I think people need to be more comfortable with illegalism and I’m not kidding. Of course the more legal something is, the safer and easier it is to do, but the more people who disregard the law, the harder it is to enforce. There are plenty of laws on the books that people just ignore and are never or rarely policed.

Becoming more comfortable with little illegal activities makes you more comfortable with bigger more important illegal activities. Additionally, it is crucial to build a wall of silence. Nobody talks everybody walks.

People who give out food without a permit, hold a march without a permit, grow a garden without a permit, are more likely to be people you could turn to to work with on preventing an eviction, or keeping people out of cop hands, or helping your friend Jane get crucial healthcare when it’s not legal in your state.

Communities comfortable with these acts won’t call the cops, and then nobody knows that it’s happening.

People have got to shift from both the idea that lawful = good/ illegal = bad, and that the illegality of something means that’s the end of it, and the only fight left is to make it legal again.

I was pretty upset about not being able to go to the FOB concert next week because it’s at 8 pm in a city almost 4 hours away from me and I have work the next day, but it all worked out because it’s still like 98 degrees out at like 9 pm here, so now I don’t feel bad I can’t go. If it was an indoor concert I would be inconsolable.

we need to be teaching kids that macbooks are shit and dont do anything or else tiktok freelancers will make them think macbooks are good

you cant do shit on a macbook without it hyperventilating and trying to start a fire, theyre like an inhumane breed of computer it hurts for them to exist

I’m convinced you have never used a macbook or have the question the last time you did. the newer M1 chip Macbook pros are powerful, comparable to some PC gaming laptops and mine rarely ever gets hot. PCs will however start a fire in your lap and the fan will get obnoxiously loud with only 3 programs running in the background lmao. I get where the apple hate is coming from but yall lie consistently about the quality of their products like some weird form of self denial to fight the urge to splurge the money for a computer that will last longer, has easier functionality, and built in anti-virus software.

this is the only post ive made about my old macbook whar are you even talking about i lie consistently about poor apple

emphasis on the word YALL. YALL LIE consistently about apple products being shit.

who are we

everyone agreeing w this post bro.. any samsung-owning ass talking shit about apple products on social media cause they’re mad that they can’t afford it

Ah, there’s the classism
